2010 NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR WINTER GAMES FEMALE COACHING STAFF POSITIONS

Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting letter of applications for the position of Coach, Assistant Coach and Manager for the seven regional Female Division Teams participating in the 2010 Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games.

Seven regions include: St. John’s/North, Mount Pearl/South, Avalon, Eastern, Central, Western and Labrador.

Two Coaches and one Manager are needed for these teams. Coaching applicants require a minimum of Coach Level / Coach Stream and be at least 19 years of age as of March 20, 2010. The Manager must meet the same age requirements. At least one Coach or Manager must be qualified in the Hockey Canada Safety Program (HCSP) and Speak Out is required for all staff. Each team is required to have at least one person on the coaching staff who is a Female. Successful applicants will be expected to attend all activities in the selection process where and whenever possible and lead the team to the Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games taking place in Grand Falls-Windsor from March 24-27, 2010.

Teams are open to female players 15-18 years of age as of March 27, 2010. Players can not turn 19 prior to the end of the games.
