CEE BEES WIN IN DOUBLE-OVERTIME 1-0 TO SEND THE HERDER TO A FIFTH AND DECIDING GAME

Clarenville, NL Brett Shute in the fifth period was the only goal scorer in an epic game to send the visiting Cee Bees fans in a frenzy. The Harbour Grace Ocean Enterprise Cee Bee Stars win game four over the the Clarenville Ford Caribous in 2017 Herder Memorial Championship brought to you by the Telegram on Saturday night in Clarenville

A.J. Whiffin was the story of the game, stopping all 57 shots he faced to earn the shutout for the Cee Bees. Jason Churchill made 37 shots in the loss.

The best of five series will continue tomorrow night with final game (game 5) at 2:00 pm at the EEC in Clarenville.

The Herder Memorial Trophy was first presented by Ralph Herder of the Evening Telegram Limited in honor of the hockey playing Herder Family, who founded the Evening Telegram in 1879. The trophy is emblematic of the All Newfoundland Senior Hockey Championship.
